Now, it's not that we don't trust these guys, but we thought that
since they're supposed to be working for us, maybe we should start
keeping track of their voting records. Not only will this help us to
ensure that our money is well spent, it will help us to better remember them
for next November's elections. Besides, we made a promise to them!
After looking at the big picture, it is clear to us that what we actually
have here is a calculated attempt by the NB City Council to end the 4th of
July party in West Newport altogether. Let's review the facts...
How to End the 4th of July Celebration in West Newport:
Step 1) Noise amendment - Turn down the music or to to JAIL! PASSED 2001.
Step 2) July 4th Ordinance - If you party, you're going to pay BIG$$$! PASSED.
Step 3) Alcohol Storage - We're going to dry this place up! PASSED.
Without further ado, we present to you, the People's Exhibit C, the voting
records of our Newport Beach city council members:

Noise Amendment:
Passed in June 2001 after Rodman's 40th birthday bash, this amendment to our
original noise ordinance strengthened the position of the City to arrest
residents who do not comply with the ordinance.

NEW July 4th Law:
A first of it's kind, but surely not the last, on May 13th, our city council
UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED a sweeping new ordinance to make even more money off
it's West Newport residents who party too hard on the 4th. It even
prohibits the delivery of alcohol to this "Safety Enhancement Zone". Learn

NEW Alcohol Storage Law:
On May 27th, our city council UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED this new 4th of July
law. This one prohibits the outdoor storage of alcohol by businesses on the
4th of July. Although it no doubt targets West Newport, it would be
effective throughout the entire city. Couple this one with the prior
ordinance banning the delivery alcohol, and it's obvious that this is their
two-prong attack to "dry this place up"! Learn more:

Maybe we could charge them with this one:

exercised the same; . . . they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned
not more than ten years."
