Why is it that these reporters portray us as the group "fighting to party" or "fighting the city's efforts to curb crime", and the city is portrayed as just wanting to ensure our safety? For the record, we are not the "Pro-Party", "Pro-Urinating-in-Public" or "Pro-Crime " group! How about - PRO-FREEDOM!

FreeNewport! Spokesman, Bryan Clarkson, takes this opportunity to clear the air, with the Daily Pilot, outlining who is FreeNewport!, and what we're fighting for.

5/22/03. "Fourth Should Be Fun, Not Chaotic"
In this Editorial, the Daily Pilot basically restates the city's official position that the new 4th of July restrictions are needed so that we don't have a riot like HB. FreeNewport! is referenced, although not by name.

5/16/03. "Newport Group Still Seeking Party Favor"
FreeNewport! talks about life after the 4th of July vote. Discussions are in the works for face-to-face talks with the NB City Council, but FreeNewport! is not very optimistic about talks with our current council.
